December 3 & December 4 at 6:30pm
It’s a dramatic story. A man attacked and killed in the dark of night. A widow’s son accused of the murder. A jury trial that will decide whether the boy hangs. Now add the most interesting part—Abraham Lincoln defends the young man at trial—and you have a fascinating tale.
This winter—on February 23-24 and March 2-3, 2018—in the historic Potter Auditorium, Wit’s End Theatre will bring that story to the stage, in a new play, written and to be directed by Chatfield native Joe Chase, called Lincoln for the Defense.
Twenty male roles, ages 17 to 70, to be cast! Some principal roles have already been cast, but parts large and small are available, and all are speaking roles. No previous acting experience is necessary.
