Chatfield Center for the Arts Receives $30,000 Gift from F & M Community Bank and FHLB Des Moines Chatfield, MN — June 12, 2025—

The Chatfield Center for the Arts (CCA) is proud to announce it has received a generous $30,000 gift from F & M Community Bank through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines) Member Impact Fund initiative. This funding is part of a powerful matching grant program in which FHLB Des Moines matches $3 for every $1 contributed by its member financial institutions. Through this initiative, FHLB Des Moines has awarded $20 million to 174 member banks across the region, helping them provide critical financial support to nonprofit organizations throughout Minnesota.

F & M Community Bank has been a longtime partner and supporter of the Chatfield Center for the Arts, and this latest contribution reinforces its position as the single largest supporter of the CCA since its inception. This gift arrives at a pivotal time, as the Center focuses on upgrading its technical infrastructure to enhance event management, ticketing systems, and overall customer experience. “We are incredibly grateful to F & M Community Bank for their continued support,” said Betsy Koehnen, Executive Director at the Chatfield Center for the Arts. “This funding ensures we can continue to improve the experiences of our audiences and performers, and expand access to the arts across our region.” The Chatfield Center for the Arts serves as a regional hub for the arts and adult education. In 2024 alone, CCA welcomed over 8,000 patrons from six states and Canada to performances at the Historic Potter Auditorium. The successful renovation of this treasured venue was made possible through support from the State of Minnesota, the City of Chatfield, the Southeastern Minnesota State Arts Council, the Minnesota State Arts Board, generous private donors, and the dedicated work of over 100 volunteers.
